This year, OXSTUD has chosen three new clubs, which are due to start next semester. Registration forms are currently available.

Chess club
This club is a must for all those chess fans out there. Practice sessions take place every week, and selected members can take part in the university chess tournaments organised by the London Chess Club. This year, the four players that won the selection heats will go and defend our university's honour at the Grand European Tournament in Munich. The annual membership fee is £20.

Basketball
Our team beat Birmingham last Saturday 70 - 62. The final against Cambridge will be held at Merton College.

Drama workshop
This new drama club will let you act out some of the Bard's works, share your passion for the theatre or simply practice as a bit of fun. This year, an improvisation competition will be held, as well as miming and technical exercises to appeal to everyone's tastes. Registration forms must be given in before 30 October. Membership costs £10.

Volleyball

Our girls lost fair and square yesterday to their rivals at Manchester. The final score was 3 - 1.

Photography club

In addition to covering the university's various events, the photography club also stages a large number of exhibitions. This year, members will be honing their portrait skills for the exhibition scheduled between 15 and 20 June. Registration forms are available all year round, and membership is free.

Rugby

Our rugby team is still in the running in the university rugby tournament after a convincing quarter-final victory over Keele (25 - 12). Our lads will face Liverpool in the semi-finals.

Football

Oxford lost 3 - 1 against Bristol.
