Conference: Women and the Media Culture

Sociologists from the London Sociology Institute are inviting students to learn about the most recent studies on the position of women in the media world. Professor Peter Collins will be giving a speech at 3 pm at Merton College to present his new work, entitled Women and the Media Culture.

   

International Law Day

The next international law day will be held at Magdalen College. The theme this year is 'Public and Private Law', and the Dean of the Law School will get things underway at 10 am. The exact programme and the names of the speakers will be given at a later date.

Study day: Daily Life in Oxfordshire in the 18th Century. New Perspectives

John Walker, a senior lecturer at Cambridge University, is proposing a study day focusing on rural and urban life in Oxfordshire during the 18th century. Students wishing to participate will need to register before the 30th at the Modern History Research Department.

   

Colloquium: the Shoah
